Rooted in Purpose: Peru Expedition 2026

In January 2026, members of the NutraMedix team traveled deep into the Peruvian Jungle to visit the regions where some of our botanicals are responsibly sourced. The journey required traveling for hours through remote mountain terrain to reach areas connected to the sourcing of Mapalo and Takuna.

This expedition reflects our ongoing commitment to quality, transparency, and ethical sourcing. Working alongside local botanists and sourcing partners, we take great care in how our ingredients are selected and harvested with respect for both the environment and local communities.

This January was particularly special. Beyond checking on our harvests, we had the privilege of serving alongside a fantastic group of doctors and dentists on a riverboat medical mission, bringing care directly to remote village communities along the river. It was an unforgettable team effort, made even better by the company we kept: we were joined by four of us from our Florida office, as well as two wonderful doctors from my home state of Maine who are also long-time Nutramedix customers.
